তামিলনাড়ুর (Tamil Nadu) ওয়েলিংটনের সেনা হাসপাতাল থেকে বেঙ্গালুরুতে নিয়ে আসা হল ক্যাপ্টেন বরুণ সিংকে (Varun Singh)। বেঙ্গালুরুর কম্যান্ডো হাসপাতালেই চিকিৎসা হবে বরুণ সিংয়ের। বুধবার নীলগিরিতে এমআই ১৭ ভেঙে পড়ে। বায়ুসেনার হেলিকপ্টারে যাঁরা ছিলেন, প্রত্যেকের মৃত্যু হয়। একমাত্র বরুণ সিংই জীবনমৃত্যুর সঙ্গে লড়াই করছেন। বরুণ সিংয়ের চিকিৎসার জন্য যাতে সসব ধরনের ব্যবস্থা করা হয়, সেই নির্দেশ দেন প্রতিরক্ষামন্ত্রী রাজনাথ সিং (Rajnath Singh)।
