তামিলনাড়ুর কুন্নুরের জঙ্গলে ভেঙে পড়া MI-17 কপ্টারের যাত্রী দেশের প্রথম সেনা সর্বাধিনায়ক (CDS) জেনারেল বিপিন রাওয়াতের মৃত্যুতে শোকবার্তা পাঠালেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী (PM Narendra Modi)। বুধবার সকালে ১৪ জন যাত্রী নিয়ে কপ্টারটি জঙ্গলে ভেঙে পড়ে। বিকেলের দিকে বিপিন রাওয়াতের মৃত্যুর খবর নিশ্চিত হয়। শোকে ভেঙে পড়ে গোটা দেশ।
শোকবার্তায় প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী লেখেন, " তামিলনাডু়তে হেলিকপ্টার দুর্ঘটনায় জেনারেল বিপিন রাওয়াত, তাঁর স্ত্রী এবং অন্যান্য সেনাকর্মীদের মৃত্যুতে আমি গভীর শোকাহত। তাঁরা দেশের জন্য খুব পরিশ্রমের সঙ্গে কাজ করেছেন।"
