নকশাল দমন অভিযানে গিয়ে আইইডি বিস্ফোরণে (IED Blast) প্রাণ হারালেন সিআরপিএফের (CRPF) এক জওয়ান। শনিবার ভোররাতে ঝাড়খণ্ডের (Jharkhand) পশ্চিম সিংভূমের ঘন সারান্দা জঙ্গলে অভিযান চালাচ্ছিল ১৩৪ ব্যাটালিয়ন সিআরপিএফ এবং ওড়িশার স্পেশাল অপারেশন গ্রুপ। ভোর ৫টা ৫০ মিনিট নাগাদ নকশাল দমন অভিযান চলাকালীন ঝাড়খণ্ড-ওড়িশা সীমান্তে রাউরকেল্লার কাছে কে. বালাং এলাকায় আচমকাই আইইডি বিস্ফোরণ ঘটে। নকশালদের ঘটানো বিস্ফোরণে বাম পায়ে গুরুতর চোট পান সিআরপিএফ এক জওয়ান, সত্যবান কুমার সিং (Satyaban Kumar Singh)। তাঁকে দ্রুত উদ্ধার করে রাউরকেল্লার অ্যাপোলো হাসপাতালে নিয়ে আসা হয়। তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে শুরু হয় চিকিৎসা। কিন্তু চিকিৎসকদের সমস্ত চেষ্টা সত্ত্বেও প্রাণে বাঁচানো যায়নি বছর ৩৪-এর সত্যবানকে।
