Chief Justice of India: ৫০ তম প্রধান বিচারপতি পদে শপথ বিচারপতি চন্দ্রচূড়ের, ৪৪ বছর পর বাবার আসনে ছেলে
দেশের ৫০ তম প্রধান বিচারপতি পদে শপথ গ্রহণ করলেন বিচারপতি ধনঞ্জয় ওয়াই চন্দ্রচূড়। বুধবার এই পদে শপথ নিলেন তিনি। রাষ্ট্রপতি ভবনে রাষ্ট্রপতি দ্রৌপদী মুর্মু তাঁকে শপথবাক্য পাঠ করালেন। ২০২৪-এর ১০ নভেম্বর পর্যন্ত এই প্রধান বিচারপতির দায়িত্ব সামলাবেন তিনি।

বিচারপতি উদয় উমেশ ললিত ৭৪ দিন ছিলেন প্রধান বিচারপতি পদে। তাঁর মেয়াদ শেষ হওয়ার পর শপথ নিলেন বিচারপতি চন্দ্রচূড়।গত ১১ অক্টোবর বিচারপতি উদয় উমেশ ললিতই সুপারিশ করেন বিচারপতি চন্দ্রচূড়ের নাম।
