বিহারের সিওয়ান জেলা (Siwan district)য় প্রবল ঝড়বৃষ্টি-বজ্রপাতে মৃত্যু হয়েছে কমপক্ষে ৭ জনের। সোমবার সন্ধ্যার পর এই প্রাকৃতিক দুর্যোগে প্রাণ হারান দুই মহিলা ও এক বৃদ্ধসহ ৭ জন। বিভিন্ন জায়গায় গাছ ভেঙে পড়ে, বাড়ির ছাদ ও দেওয়াল ধসে পড়ে ভয়াবহ পরিস্থিতির সৃষ্টি হয়। বিহার সরকার মৃতদের পরিবারপিছু ৪ লক্ষ টাকা করে আর্থিক সাহায্য ঘোষণা করেছে। পাশাপাশি, যাঁদের ঘরবাড়ি আংশিক বা সম্পূর্ণ ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়েছে, তা চিহ্নিত করতে জরুরি ভিত্তিতে সমীক্ষার নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়েছে।
