অসমে প্রবল বন্যার জেরে ভয়াবহ পরিস্থিতি। ঘর বাড়ি ছেড়ে ক্যাম্পে আশ্রয় নিয়েছেন বহু মানুষ। বারপেতা জেলায় এখনও পর্যন্ত ঘরছাড়া ১.৭০ লক্ষ মানুষ। উদ্ধারকার্যে নামানো হয়েছে এসডিআরএফ, এনডিআরএফ, দমকলকে।
এখনো পর্যন্ত ১৬ টি জেলায় মোট ৪.৮৯ লক্ষ মানুষ এই ভয়াবহ বন্যার জেরে ক্ষতিগ্রস্থ। ১০৭.৮২৮০ হেক্টর ফসলের জমি কার্যত জলের তলায়। এখনও পর্যন্ত জেলা প্রশাসনের তরফে ১৪০ টি রিলিফ ক্যাম্প তৈরি করা হয়েছে, ৭৫ টি রিলিফ ডিসট্রিবিউশন সেন্টারও খোলা হয়েছে বন্যা পরিস্থিতি মোকাবিলার উদ্দেশ্যে।
