Assam : অসমের মানস ন্যাশন্যাল পার্কে উদ্ধার মৃত গন্ডার, চোরাচালানের আশাঙ্কা ওড়ালেন আধিকারিক
২০১৩ সালে অসমের কাজিরাঙা থেকে মানস ন্যাশন্যাল পার্কে নিয়ে আসা হয় গন্ডারটিকে
অসমে উদ্ধার এক গন্ডারের মৃতদেহ। ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে অসমের মানস ন্যাশন্যাল পার্কের রুপোহী ক্যাম্পে। যদিও আধিকারিকদের তরফে গন্ডারে মৃত্যুতে চোরাচালানের প্রশ্ন উড়িয়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে এবং এটিকে স্বাভাবিক মৃত্যু বলেই জানানো হয়েছে।
মানস ন্যাশন্যাল পার্ক এবং টাইগার রিজার্ভের ডিরেক্টর বৈভব সি মাথুর জানিয়েছেন, "শনিবার যে গন্ডারটির মৃতদেহ উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে তাকে ২০১৩ সালে কাজিরাঙা ন্যাশন্যাল পার্ক থেকে মানস ন্যাশন্যাল পার্কের দিকে পাঠানো হয়।গন্ডারটির বয়স ছিল ১৮ বছর। সম্ভবত অন্য কোন প্রাণীর সঙ্গে মারামারিতে জড়িয়ে আঘাত প্রাপ্ত হয়, আমরা সেই বিষয়টি খতিয়ে দেখছি। "
