MLA Life Imprisonment: অন্তস্বত্ত্বা স্ত্রীকে পুড়িয়ে হত্যার দায়ে যাবজ্জীবন কারাদণ্ড প্রাক্তন বিধায়ক রামমূর্তি গামাঙ্গোর
নিজের অন্তস্বত্ত্বা স্ত্রীকে আগুনে পুড়িয়ে মারার অভিযোগে স্ত্রী-কে খুনের দায়ে যাবজ্জীবন কারাদণ্ডের শাস্তি হল ওডিশার গুনপুরের প্রাক্তন বিধায়ক রামমূর্তি গামাঙ্গো (Ramamurthy Gomango)-র।
নিজের অন্তস্বত্ত্বা স্ত্রীকে আগুনে পুড়িয়ে মারার অভিযোগে স্ত্রী-কে খুনের দায়ে যাবজ্জীবন কারাদণ্ডের শাস্তি হল ওডিশার গুনপুরের প্রাক্তন বিধায়ক রামমূর্তি গামাঙ্গো (Ramamurthy Gomango)-র। ১৯৯৫ সালে পাঁচ মাসের অন্তস্বত্ত্বা স্ত্রী শশীরেখাকে পুড়িয়ে খুনের অভিযোগ উঠেছিল সেই সময়ের দাপুটে বিধায়ক তথা নেতার বিরুদ্ধে। বিধায়কের অফিস থেকে তার স্ত্রী-র অর্ধদগ্ধ দেহ উদ্ধার হয়েছিল। প্রমাণ লোপাট করে খুনকে আত্মহত্যা প্রমাণের চেষ্টা করেছিলেন দাপুটে নেতা।
বিশেষ আদালতে বিধায়ক রামমূর্তি গামাঙ্গোকে দোষী সাব্যস্ত করে যাবজ্জীবন জেলের সাজা দিল। ১১ জন প্রত্যক্ষদর্শী, ১৫টি নথির ভিত্তিতে আদালত এই সাজা দিল।
