এবার জম্মু-কাশ্মীরের হান্দওয়ারাতে (Handwara) ভয়াবহ অগ্নিকাণ্ড। সিলিন্ডার ফেটে কার্যত উড়ে গেল একতলা বাড়ির একাংশ। জানা যাচ্ছে, এদিন সন্ধ্যের দিকে আচমকাই স্থানীয় বাসিন্দারা বিস্ফোরণের আওয়াজ পায়। আওয়াজ শুনেই ঘটনাস্থলে ছুটে যান অনেকে। তাঁরা দেখেন বাড়িটি থেকে লেলিহান শিখা বেরোচ্ছে। তাঁরাই পরবর্তীকালে দমকলে খবর দেয়। খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে আসে একাধিক দমকলের গাড়ি। ঘন্টাখানেকের মধ্যে অবশ্য পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণে আসে। যদিও কী কারণে আগুন লেগেছে সেই বিষয়ে এখনও কিছু জানা যায়নি। এই ঘচনায় হতাহতের কোনও খবরও নেই।
