দেশজুড়ে জাঁকিয়ে পড়তে চলেছে শীত। আর গত দু বছর ধরে শীত পড়া মানেই করোনার ঢেউ নিয়ে আশঙ্কা তৈরি হত। এবার অবশ্য করোনার কাঁটা তেমনভাবে নেই। কেন্দ্রীয় স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রকের তথ্য অনুযায়ী গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় ভারতে নতুন করে ৩৮৯ জন আক্রান্ত হয়েছেন।
দেশে মোট করোনা আক্রান্তের সংখ্যা সরকারী তথ্য অনুযায়ী সাড়ে ৪ কোটির খুব কাছে চলে গিয়েছে। আর সরকারী হিসেবে দেশে কোভিডে মৃত্যু ৫ লক্ষ ৩০ হাজার ৬০৮ জন। যদিও বেসরকারী মতে দেশে কোভিডে মৃত্যু ও আক্রান্তের সংখ্যা অনেকটাই বেশি বলে দাবি।
