৩১ মে রাতে কলকাতায়র নজরুল মঞ্চে গানের অনুষ্ঠান করার পর হোটেলে ফিরে অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়েন বলিউডের নেপথ্য গায়ক কৃষ্ণকুমার কুন্নাথ ওরফে কেকে (KK Dies)। তড়িঘড়ি তাঁকে হাসপাতালে নিয়ে গেলে চিকিৎসকরা জানান আগেই শিল্পীর মৃত্যু হয়েছে। ৫৩ বছর বয়সে প্রয়াত কেকে রেখে গেলেন স্ত্রী জ্যোতি ও এক পুত্র ও কন্যাকে।
কেকে-র অকাল প্রয়াণে হতবাক দেশের শিল্পী মহল। এই মর্মান্তিক ঘটনার পরেই গায়ক আরমান মালিক টুইটারে শেয়ার করেছেন একটি তথ্য, যেখানে স্পষ্ট লেখা আছে, আমাদের দেশে গানের অনুষ্ঠান করতে যাওয়া শিল্পীদের জন্য ঠিক কি কি ধরনের সুযোগ সুবিধার বন্দোবস্ত উদ্যোক্তাদের করা উচিত। চিকিৎসা ব্যবস্থা থেকে শুরু করে অভিজ্ঞ চিকিৎসক, এমনকী অ্যাম্বুল্যান্সের সুবন্দোবস্তও রাখতে বলা হয়েছে।
