আজ দেশজুড়ে প্রথম দফার ভোটপর্ব চলছে। এই দফার সব থেকে বেশি ভোট হচ্ছে তামিলনাড়ুতে। ২১টি রাজ্য ও কেন্দ্রশাসিত অঞ্চলের মধ্যে ১০২টি আসনে সকাল ৭টা থেকে ভোট শুরু হয়েছে। এরমধ্যে তামিলনাড়ুর ৩৯টি কেন্দ্রে আজ ভোট হচ্ছে। এদিন সাতসকালেই চেন্নাইয়ের পোলিং বুথে গিয়ে ভোট দিলেন সুপারস্টার রজনীকান্ত (Rajnikanth)। তাঁকে দেখতে ভিড় জমিয়েছিলেন এলাকাবাসীরা। কিন্তু কড়া নিরাপত্তার মধ্যে গিয়ে ভোট দিয়ে আসেন তিনি।
