Police Memorial Day: আজ পুলিশ স্মৃতি দিবস (Police Commemoration Day)। ১৯৫৮৯ সালে ২১ অক্টোবর লাদাখের 'হট স্প্রিংস'-এ চিনা সৈন্যদের অতর্কিত হামলায় কর্তব্যরত ১০ জন পুলিশ সদস্য শহিদ হন। সেই থেকে প্রতি বছর ২১ অক্টোবর ‘পুলিশ মেমোরিয়াল ডে’ পালন করা হয়। আজকের দিনে পুলিশ সদস্যদের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা জানানো হয়। প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী (Narendra Modi) দেশের শান্তি ও নিরাপত্তায় যুক্ত সকল মানুষকে পুলিশ স্মৃতি দিবসের শুভেচ্ছা জানালেন। দেখুন-

কেন্দ্রীয় স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী অমিত শাহ (Union Home Minister Amit Shah) সোমবার পুলিশ মেমোরিয়াল ডে উপলক্ষে দায়িত্ব পালনে শহিদ সমস্ত পুলিশ সদস্যদের শ্রদ্ধা জানিয়েছেন। পুলিশ কর্মীদের আত্মত্যাগের জন্য কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করে শাহ বলেন, ভারতকে সুরক্ষিত রাখার জন্য পুলিশ কর্মী এবং তাঁদের পরিবারের ত্যাগের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা জানানো একটি উপলক্ষ আজ। দেখুন-
