সিঙ্গাপুরের (Singapore) চতুর্থ প্রধানমন্ত্রী (Prime Minister) হিসেবে আজ শপথ নেবেন লরেন্স ওং (Lawrence Wong)।২০১৯ সাল থেকে টানা পাঁচ বছর তিনি ছিলেন দেশের উপ প্রধানমন্ত্রী। অবশেষে ২০২৪ সালে ৭২ বছর বয়সী লি সিয়েন লুংয়ের স্থলাভিষিক্ত হবেন ওং। ২০ বছর ক্ষমতায় থাকার পর লি(Lee Hsien Loong) ৫১ বছর বয়সী অর্থনীতিবিদ লরেন্সের হাতে দায়িত্বভার তুলে দেবেন।
