একদিকে যখন কানাডাতে মোদীবিরোধী আন্দোলন করছে খালিস্তানী সমর্থকেরা (Khalistani Protesters)। তখন অন্যদিকে মার্কিন মুলুকে দেখা গেল ভিন্ন ছবি। রবিবার প্রবাসী শিখ সম্প্রদায়ের অসংখ্য মানুষ মেরিল্যান্ডে যোগ দিলেন বিজেপির প্রচারে। লোকসভা নির্বাচনে বিজেপির সমর্থনে বিদেশেও প্রচার শুরু হয়েছে। আমেরিকার বিভিন্ন জায়গায় প্রবাসী ভারতীয়রা প্রচার শুরু করেছে। এদিন মেরিল্যান্ডে শিখ সম্প্রদায় গাড়িতে বিজেপির পতাকা লাগিয়ে মোদীর সমর্থনে প্রচার শুরু করে। তাঁদের মুখে ছিল, "এবার ৪০০ পার, তৃতীয়বারেও মোদী সরকার" স্লোগান।
