ইউক্রেনের ওপর ভয়াবহ হামলা চালাল রাশিয়া। ইউক্রেনের চমকপ্রদ আধুনিক ড্রোন হামলায় কিছুটা কোণঠাসা ঘুরে দাঁড়াতে ব্যালাস্টিক মিসাইলের দ্বারস্থ হল। কার্যত মহাকাশ থেকে ঘুরে এসে নির্দিষ্ট লক্ষ্যমাত্রায় আঘাত হানার ক্ষমতা রাখা ব্যালিস্টিক মিসাইল একেবারে সরাসরি আঘাত হানাল ইউক্রেনের বুকে। জেলেনস্কির দেশের খারকিভ প্রদেশের মধ্য লিজুউমের এক পাঁচতলা আবাসন ও কয়েকটি সরকারী বিল্ডিংয়ে আছড়ে পড়ল রাশিয়ার ব্যালিস্টিক মিসাইল।
মিসাইলের আঘাতের পরই একসঙ্গে বেশ কয়েকটি বিল্ডিং ভেঙে পড়ে। ৪ জন ঘটনাস্থলেই মারা যান। পাশাপাশি ২০ জন গুরুতর জখম হন। আরও বেশ কয়েক জনকে ধ্বংসস্তুপ থেকে উদ্ধার করেছে।
