যুদ্ধের দায়ে এবার পর্যটনে বড় কোপ পড়ল রাশিয়ার ওপর। একের পর এক ক্ষেত্র থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন হচ্ছে পুতিনের দেশ। ইউক্রেনের ওপর আক্রমণ করায় রাষ্ট্রসংঘের পর্যটন শাখা (United Nation's tourism body) থেকে নিজেদের সরিয়ে নিতে বাধ্য হল রাশিয়া (Russia)। মস্কোকে সাসপেন্ড করতে রাষ্ট্রসংঘের পর্যটন শাখা বা UNWTO-র এক্সিকিউটিভ কাউন্সিলে ভোটাভুটি হওয়ার কথা ছিল। সেখানে হার নিশ্চিত জেনে ভোটাভুটির ঠিক আগে নিজে থেকেই সরে গেল রাশিয়া।
