ফিলিপিন্সে ভয়াবহ আগুনে প্রাণ হারালেন ১৬ জন । ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে ফিলিপিন্সের একটি কাপড়ের ছাপাখানার কারখানায়। ভোর থেকেই আগুন লাগার ঘটনা ঘটে ওই কারখানাতে। প্রচুর পরিমানে কাপড় থাকার ফলে আগুন আরও ভয়াবহ আকার ধারন করে।
দ্বিতল ওই বাড়িটির মধ্যে কর্মচারীদের থাকার ব্যবস্থাও ছিল। ফলে তারাও আগুনের কবলে পড়ে যান। যার ফলে ১৬ জন কর্মীর মৃত্যু হয়েছে বলে জানা গেছে। ঘটনাস্থলে পৌছেছে দমকল বাহিনী। আগুন নেভানোর কাজ চলছে বলে জানা গেছে।
