Japan Moon Lander Operation: বিশ্বের পঞ্চম দেশ হিসেবে চলতি বছর জানুয়ারিতে চন্দ্র অভিযানে সফল হয়েছিল জাপান। মানুষহীন চন্দ্রযান 'স্মার্ট ল্যান্ডার'পাঠিয়েছিল জাপান। নিজেদের দেশের প্রযুক্তিতে বানানো মনুষ্যবিহীন চন্দ্রযানটির ডাক নাম ‘মুন স্নাইপার’। কিন্তু ঠিক যেভাবে ল্যান্ডারটি চাঁদের বুকে নামাতে চেয়েছিল সূর্যোদয়ের দেশ।, সেটা তারা পারেনি। তবু মুন স্নাইপারটি চাঁদ থেকে বিক্ষিপ্ত তথ্য পাঠাচ্ছিল। কিন্তু গত কয়েক দিন ধরে ল্যান্ডারটির সঙ্গে কিছুতেই যোগাযোগ স্থাপন করতে পারছিল না জাপান। কিন্তু কিছুতেই সেটা সম্ভব হচ্ছিল না। অবশেষে জাপান ঘোষণা করল, এই মুন মিশন তারা এখানেই শেষ করল। মুন ল্যান্ডার আর উদ্ধারের কোনও আশা রাখল না জাপান। জাপেনর এই চন্দ্রাভিযানকে মোটের ওপর সফল বলা যায়। যদিও চাঁদ নিয়ে জাপানের যাবতীয় স্বপ্নপূরণ হল না।
