রবিবার সকাল থেকেই বিস্ফোরণের শব্দে কেঁপে ওঠে মাউন্ট এটনা আগ্নেয়গিরি
পৃথিবীর জাগ্রত আগ্নেয়গিরির মধ্যে অন্যতম গুরুত্বপূর্ণ আগ্নেয়গিরি হিসেবে পরিচিত মাউন্ট এটনা আগ্নেয়গিরি। রবিবার সেই আগ্নেয়গিরিতে আবার দেখা গেল বিস্ফোরণ। যার জেরে আপাতভাবে বন্ধ করা হয়েছে আশেপাশের এয়ারপোর্ট এবং তার সংলগ্ন এলাকা। বাসিন্দাদের সরিয়ে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়েছে নিরাপদ স্থানে।
রবিবার সকাল থেকেই শোনা যাচ্ছিল অগ্নুৎপাতের বিস্ফোরণের শব্দ।তবে আগ্নেয়গিরির চারপাশে মেঘের আস্তরন থাকার ফলে বিস্ফোরণ সেভাবে চোখে পড়েনি।
প্রায় ৩,৩২৪ মিটারের এটনা ইউরোপের সবথেকে লম্বা আগ্নেয়গিরি। এবং প্রায় ৫ লক্ষ বছর ধরে এখানে প্রায়শই অগ্নুৎপাত ঘটে থাকে।
