সুদের হার কমানোর সিদ্ধান্ত নিল আমেরিকার ফেডারেল রিজার্ভ। বুধবার মার্কিন কেন্দ্রীয় ব্যাংক জানিয়েছে, সুদের হার ২৫ বেসিস পয়েন্ট কমানো হবে। মুদ্রাস্ফীতি ও বেকারত্ব নিয়ন্ত্রণে রাখতেই এই পদক্ষেপ বলে জানিয়েছে তারা। সুদের হার নিয়ে বুধবার ফেডারেল রিজার্ভের চেয়ারম্যান জেরোম পাওয়েলের নেতৃত্বে বৈঠকে বসেছিল ফেডারেল ওপেন মার্কেট কমিটি (এফওএমসি)। বিশেষজ্ঞদের একাংশের মতে, ফেডারেল রিজার্ভ সুদের হার কমানোয় ভারত-সহ বিশ্বের বহু দেশের শেয়ার বাজারে প্রভাব পড়তে পারে।
