মঙ্গলবার বাকিংহাম প্যালেসে রাজা তৃতীয় চার্লসের সাথে সাক্ষাতের পর প্রধানমন্ত্রী হিসেবে ব্রিটেনের দায়িত্বভার গ্রহণ করলেন ভারতীয় বংশোদ্ভূত ঋষি সুনাক। বুধবার 10, ডাউনিং স্ট্রিটে একটি দীপাবলি অনুষ্ঠানে যোগ দিতে দেখা গেল তাঁকে। সোশ্যাল মিডিয়া পোস্টে, সুনাক সবাইকে উত্সবের শুভেচ্ছা জানিয়েছেন এবং বলেছেন-
