আজ থেকেই শুরু হবে পাঁচ সপ্তাহের প্রচার পর্ব। বিশেষজ্ঞদের ধারণা, টানা ১৪ বছরের কনজারভেটিভদের শাসনের পর এবারের নির্বাচনের মধ্য দিয়ে দেশে লেবার পার্টি শাসনক্ষমতায় ফিরে আসতে পারে।
যুক্তরাজ্যে আগামী ৪ জুলাই সাধারণ নির্বাচনকে সামনে রেখে আজ (৩০ মে, বৃহস্পতিবার) ব্রিটেনের সংসদ ভেঙ্গে দেওয়া হয়েছে। আজ থেকেই শুরু হবে পাঁচ সপ্তাহের প্রচার পর্ব। বিশেষজ্ঞদের ধারণা, টানা ১৪ বছরের কনজারভেটিভদের শাসনের পর এবারের নির্বাচনের মধ্য দিয়ে দেশে লেবার পার্টি শাসনক্ষমতায় ফিরে আসতে পারে। নির্বাচনী তফসিল অনুযায়ী, যুক্তরাজ্যের পার্লামেন্টের ৬৫০টি আসন মধ্যরাত থেকে শূন্য করে দেওয়া হয়েছে আর এই প্রক্রিয়ার মধ্য দিয়ে পাঁচ সপ্তাহের নির্বাচনী প্রচারের আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে শুরু হয়েছে।
