বছরের প্রথম দিনটা ৭.৫ মাত্রার ভয়াবহ ভূমিকম্প দিয়ে শুরু হয়েছিল জাপানে। সেই আতঙ্ক আবার ফিরল। গত পয়লা জানুয়ারি ভয়াবহ ভূমিকম্পে এখনও ধ্বংসস্তুপ থেকে মৃতদেহ উদ্ধারের কাজ চলছে। একদিকে যখন বছরের প্রথম দিনের ভূমিকম্পে মৃতের সংখ্যা বেড়ে ২১৫ হল, তখন আবার কেঁপে উঠল জাপান। আজ, মঙ্গলবার জাপানে স্থানীয় সময় সন্ধ্যা ৬টা নাগাদ ৬ মাত্রার ভয়াবহ ভূমিকম্প হল। জাপানের পশ্চিম উপকুল অঞ্চল হনসুর নিগাতা প্রদেশে এই কম্পন অনুভূত হয়। তবে এবার কোনও রকম সুনামি সতর্কতা জারি হয়নি।
ক দিন আগেই ৭.৫ মাত্রার ভূমিকম্পের পর বেশ কয়েকবার আফটার শকে কেঁপে উঠেছিল জাপান। আজকের এই ৬ মাত্রার ভূমিকম্পটি আফটার শক কি না তা এখনও জানা যায়নি।
