বীরভূমের আহমদপুরে সাইথিয়া বিডিও অফিসে পঞ্চায়েত নির্বাচনের মনোনয়ন জমা দেওয়াকে কেন্দ্র করে ধুন্ধুমার কাণ্ড। বিক্ষোভকারীদের তাড়াতে লাঠি চার্জ পুলিশের। বাংলাতে পঞ্চায়েত নির্বাচনে মনোনয়নের শেষ দিন ছিল আজ।প্রথম দিকে বেশ কয়েকটি জেলায় বিশৃঙ্খলা দেখা দেয়, মনোনয়ন জমা দেওয়ার সময় বাধা দেওয়ার অভিযোগ উঠেছিল শাসক দলের কর্মীদের বিরুদ্ধে। তবে মাঝের সময়টুকু শান্তিপূর্ণ ছিল।
তবে মনোনয়ন জমা দেওয়ার শেষ দিনে উত্তপ্ত হয়ে উঠল বীরভূমের এই এলাকা।এদিনের ঘটনায় বেশ কয়েকজনকে আটক করে পুলিশ।
