চলতি সপ্তাহতেই বাঘাযতীনের কলোনী এলাকায় বহুতল হেলে যাওয়া ঘটনা নিয়ে তোলপাড় হয়েছে রাজ্য রাজনীতি। ধৃত প্রোমোটার সুভাষ রায়কে বকখালি থেকে গ্রেফতার করে পুলিশ। এই নিয়ে রাজ্যের বিরোধী দলনেতা শুভেন্দু অধিকারী (Suvendu Adhikari) বাঘাযতীনে মিছিল করে। এই নিয়ে তিনি বলেন, "শহরের পরিস্থিতি মোটেই ভালো নয়। ওই প্রমোটার তৃণমূলের ঘনিষ্ঠ ছিল। ওঁর উপযুক্ত শাস্তি হওয়া উচিত। এর আগেও গার্ডেনরিচে বহুতল ভেঙে পড়েছিল। এবার বাঘাযতীনে হল। আমার মতে, অবিলম্বে কর্পোরেশনের তরফ থেকে অডিট করে তৃতীয় কোনও দুর্ঘটনা যাতে শহরে না হয়, সেটার জন্য ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হোক"।
