ভোটপ্রচারে (Lok Sabha Elections 2024) প্রথমবার বাংলায় এলেন কংগ্রেস সর্বভারতীয় সভাপতি মল্লিকার্জুন খাড়্গে (Mallikarjun Kharge)। তৃতীয় দফার ভোটের আগে রবিবার দক্ষিণ মালদাহ কংগ্রেস প্রার্থী ঈশা খান চৌধুরীর সমর্থনে সুজাপুরে সভা করলেন খাড়্গে। জনসভা থেকে মোদী সরকারের বিরুদ্ধে তীব্র আঘাত শানিয়ে কংগ্রেস সভাপতি বললেন, 'এখন থেকেই আমারা যদি নিজেদের অধিকার বুঝে না নি, তাহলে দেশ থেকে গণতন্ত্র মুছে যাবে। সংবিধান ধ্বংস হয়ে যাবে। এটাই বিপদ সংকেত। মোদীজি যদি আবারও ক্ষমতায় আসেন তাহলে তিনি একনায়কতন্ত্র শাসন শুরু করবেন। হিন্দু-মুসলিমদের মধ্যে দাঙ্গা তৈরি করার চেষ্টা করবেন'।
