Kanchanjungha Express Accident: সোমবার সকালে শিয়লাদহগামী ডাউন কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা এক্সপ্রেস দুর্ঘটনার খবর মিলতেই দুর্ঘটনারস্থলের উদ্দেশ্যে রওনা দেন রেলমন্ত্রী অশ্বিনী বৈষ্ণব (Ashwini Vaishnaw)। দার্জিলিংয়ের উদ্দেশ্যে এবার রওনা দিলেন রাজ্যপাল সিভি আনন্দ বোস (CV Ananda Bose)। হেলিকপ্টার মেলেনি। বিমানের বিজনেস ক্লাসের টিকিটও ছিল ফুল। তাই ইকোনমি ক্লাসে চেপেই কলকাতা থেকে বাগডোগরা বিমানবন্দরের উদ্দেশ্যে রওনা দিলেন রাজ্যপাল। তবে বোস একা নন, সঙ্গে যাচ্ছেন সাংসদ তথা প্রতিমন্ত্রী সুকান্ত মজুমদার (Sukanta Majumdar)। দেখা করবেন ট্রেন দুর্ঘটনায় আহতদের সঙ্গে। কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা এক্সপ্রেস দুর্ঘটনায় মালগাড়ির চালক, সহকারী চালক এবং দূরপাল্লার যাত্রী মিলিয়ে মোট ৮ জনের মৃত্যুর খবর পাওয়া গিয়েছে এখনও পর্যন্ত। আহত অন্ততপক্ষে ৩০।
