এই প্রথমবার 'মেড ইন ইন্ডিয়া'আই ফোন লঞ্চ করতে চলেছে অ্যাপেল। তামিলনাড়ুর শ্রীপেরুম্বুদুরে ফক্সকনের কারখানায় তৈরি অ্য়াপেলের আই ফোন-এ লেখা থাকবে 'মেড ইন ইন্ডিয়া'। আমেরিকা যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের বাইরে এতদিন আই ফোন সবচেয়ে বেশী প্রস্তুত হত চিনে। যদিও আই ফোনে 'মেড ইন চায়না' কখনও লেখা হয়নি।

কোভিডের সময় থেকেই চিন সরকারের সঙ্গে অ্যাপেল কোম্পানির সম্পর্ক খারাপ হতে শুরু করে। এরপর ২০২২ সাল থেকে চিনের পরিবর্তে ভারতে উতপাদন হতে শুরু করে আই ফোনের। সম্প্রতি সরকারী অফিসে আই ফোন নিষিদ্ধ হওয়ায় অ্যাপেল বড় ক্ষতির মুখে পড়েছে।
