কমনওয়েলথে গেমস (Commonwealth Games 2022) হাই জাম্পে ব্রোঞ্জ পদক জিতলেন ভারতের তেজস্বীন শঙ্কর (Tejaswin Shankar)। এর আগে কমনওয়েলথ গেমসের মঞ্চে ভারতের কোনও অ্যাথলিট হাই জাম্পে পদক জিততে পারেননি। এবার সেটাই করে দেখিয়ে ইতিহাসে নাম তুললেন শঙ্কর। হাই জাম্পের ফাইনালে তিনি ২.২২ মিটার লাফিয়ে ব্রোঞ্জ নিশ্চিত করেন। অন্যদিকে, কমনওয়েলথ গেমসে স্কোয়াশে ব্রোঞ্জ জিতলেন বাংলার সৌরভ ঘোষাল (Saurav Ghosal)। কমনওয়েলথ গেমস স্কোয়াশে এই প্রথম পদক জিতল ভারত। জেমস উইলসট্রপ-কে ৩-০ ব্যবধানে হারিয়ে স্কোয়াশের মেইনস সিঙ্গলসে ব্রোঞ্জ জেতেন সৌরভ।
