পিতৃহারা হলেন ভারতীয় ক্রিকেট দলের প্রাক্তন ক্রিকেটার সুরেশ রায়না (Suresh Raina)। দীর্ঘদিন ধরে সুরেশ রায়নার বাবা ত্রিলোকচাঁদ রায়না অসুস্থ ছিলেন। তিনি ক্যান্সারে আক্রান্ত ছিলেন বলেও জানা গিয়েছে। ক্রিকেটার হওয়ার পিছনে রায়নার বাবার বড় অবদান ছিল। সুরেশ রায়না একবার এক ইন্টারভিউতে জানিয়েছিলেন, তাঁর বাবা না থাকলে তিনি কখনই সফল ক্রিকেটার হয়ে উঠতে পারতেন না।
রায়নার বাবার মৃত্যুতে শ্রদ্ধা জানিয়ে টুইট করেছেন হরভজন সিং সহ ক্রিকেটমহল। ৩৫ বছরের সুরেশ রায়না দেশের হয়ে ১৮টি টেস্ট, ২২৬টি ওয়ানডে ও ৭৮টি টি টোয়েন্টি ম্যাচ খেলেন। আইপিএলে চেন্নাই সুপার কিংসের মহাসাফল্যের পিছনেও তাঁর বড় অবদান আছে। ২০২০ সালে আন্তর্জাতিক ক্রিকেট থেকে অবসর নেন রায়না।
