প্যারিস ডায়মন্ড লিগ ২০২৩-এ পুরুষদের লং জাম্পে ভারতের মুরলী শ্রীশঙ্কর লং জাম্পে ৮.০৯ মিটার উচ্চ লাফের চেষ্টায় তৃতীয় স্থান অধিকার করেন। তৃতীয় প্রচেষ্টায় শুক্রবার রাতে নিজের সেরা লাফ দেন মুরলী। ৮.১৩ মিটার লাফ দিয়ে প্যারিস ডায়মন্ড লিগ জিতেছেন বর্তমান অলিম্পিক ও ডায়মন্ড লিগ চ্যাম্পিয়ন গ্রিসের মিলটিয়াডিস তেন্টোগ্লু (Miltiadis Tentoglou)। মুরলী দ্বিতীয় স্থানে প্রথমে থাকলেও ফাউলের কারণে চতুর্থ চেষ্টায় তাঁকে তিন নম্বরে নামিয়ে দেয়। এরপর সুইজারল্যান্ডের সাইমন এহমারের ৮.১১ মিটার লাফ দ্বিতীয় স্থান অধিকার করেন। ডায়মন্ড লিগে শ্রীশঙ্করের এটি দ্বিতীয় ম্যাচ। গত বছর মোনাকোতে ৭.৯৪ মিটারের লাফে তিনি ষষ্ঠ হয়েছিলেন। তাঁর ব্যক্তিগত সেরা লাফটি ৮.৩৬ মিটার যার সাফল্য তিনি গত বছর পেয়েছিলেন।
