ট্র্যাকে ফিরেই ফের ইতিহাস গড়লেন নীরজ চোপড়া (Neeraj Chopra)৷ লাউসেন ডায়মন্ড লিগে (Lausanne Diamond League) প্রথম ভারতীয় হিসেবে খেতাব জিতলেন তিনি ৷ ৮৯.৮ মিটার দূরে জ্যাভলিন ছোড়েন সোনার ছেলে। আর তাতেই ডায়মন্ড লিগের ফাইনালে যোগ্যতা অর্জন করলেন। খেতাব জিতে জুরিখে ডায়মন্ড লিগের ফাইনাল ও ২০২৩ সালের বিশ্ব চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপের অংশ নেওয়ার যোগ্যতা অর্জন করলেন নীরজ। টোকিও অলিম্পিকে সোনা জয়ের পর বিশ্ব চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপে রুপো পেয়েছিলেন নীরজ। চোটের কারণে কমনওয়েলথ গেমস থেকে তিনি নাম তুলে নেন।
