টিম গোনাসিকার প্রশিক্ষণ সেশনের পরে জগবীর হঠাৎই শ্বাসকষ্ট অনুভব করেন, এমনকি অনুশীলনের সময় বুকে ব্যথাও অনুভব করেন। এরপরেই তাঁকে রৌরকেল্লার একটি বেসরকারি হাসপাতালের আইসিইউতে ভর্তি করা হয়।
গতকাল রৌরকেলার একটি হাসপাতালে হৃদরোগে আক্রান্ত হন প্রাক্তন ভারতীয় হকি খেলোয়াড় এবং কোচ জগবীর সিং । দুইবারের অলিম্পিয়ান বর্তমানে চলমান হকি ইন্ডিয়া লিগে (Hockey India League) খেলা দল গোনাসিকার সঙ্গে যুক্ত। টিম গোনাসিকার প্রশিক্ষণ সেশনের পরে জগবীর হঠাৎই শ্বাসকষ্ট অনুভব করেন, এমনকি অনুশীলনের সময় বুকে ব্যথাও অনুভব করেন। এরপরেই তাঁকে রৌরকেল্লার একটি বেসরকারি হাসপাতালের আইসিইউতে ভর্তি করা হয়।
৫৯ বছর বয়সী জগবীর ভারতীয় হকিতে একটি চমৎকার ফরোয়ার্ড হিসেবে অবদান রেখেছিলেন এবং এথেন্সে ২০০৪ সালের অলিম্পিক গেমসে ভারতীয় পুরুষ দলের কোচও ছিলেন তিনি।
