দিল্লি থেকে উত্তরাখণ্ডে যাওয়ার পথে রুরকির নরসান সীমান্তে এক ডিভাইডারের সঙ্গে সংঘর্ষে আহত হন ক্রিকেটার ঋষভ পন্থ (Rishabh Pant)। তিনি ক্রিসমাসের জন্য দুবাই ছিলেন এবং রুরকিতে বাড়ি ফিরছিলেন যখন তাঁর গাড়িটি দুর্ঘটনায় পড়ে। ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে ভোর ৫ঃ২১ নাগাদ। ঋষভ পন্থের গাড়িতে আগুন ধরে যায় এবং পালানোর জন্য একটি জানালা ভাঙতে হয় তাঁকে। তার পায়ে, কপালে ও পিঠে আঘাতের চিহ্ন রয়েছে। এই ক্রিকেটার পুলিশকে জানিয়েছেন যে গাড়ি চালানোর সময় তিনি কিছুটা দমবন্ধ হয়ে গিয়েছিলেন এবং এভাবেই দুর্ঘটনাটি ঘটে।
