Indian Women's Blind Team: নেপালের বিপক্ষে প্রথম দ্বিপাক্ষিক সিরিজ দিয়ে সূত্রপাত ভারতীয় মহিলা দৃষ্টিহীন ক্রিকেটের

প্রথমবারের মতো নেপালের বিপক্ষে দ্বিপাক্ষিক সিরিজে ভারতের প্রতিনিধিত্ব করবে নারীদের দৃষ্টিহীন ক্রিকেট দল। আগামী ২৫ থেকে ৩০ এপ্রিল নেপালের পোখরা ও কাঠমান্ডুতে অনুষ্ঠিত হবে এই সিরিজ। শুক্রবার ক্রিকেট অ্যাসোসিয়েশন ফর দ্য ব্লাইন্ড ইন ইন্ডিয়া (CABI) এক সংবাদ সম্মেলনে জানিয়েছে, দল পাঁচটি টি-টোয়েন্টি ম্যাচ খেলবে। খেলাটিতে মহিলা খেলোয়াড়দের উন্নীত করার জন্য বিশেষত প্রতিবন্ধীদের জন্য সিএবিআই এবং সমর্থনম ট্রাস্টের প্রচেষ্টায় এই টুর্নামেন্ট। বছরের শুরুতে অনুষ্ঠিত জাতীয় চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপ থেকে দলের সম্ভাব্য খেলোয়াড় বাছাই করা হয় এবং ভোপালে অনুষ্ঠিত জাতীয় শিবিরের পর চূড়ান্ত দল বাছাই করা হয়। বি-৩ ক্যাটাগরির (B3 Category) খেলোয়াড় সুষমা পাটেলের নেতৃত্বে এই দল গঠন করা হয়েছে। ভারতীয় মহিলা দৃষ্টিহীন ক্রিকেট দলের ব্র্যান্ড অ্যাম্বাসাডর হলেন ভারতীয় মহিলা দলের অধিনায়ক হরমনপ্রীত কৌর।
