ইউএস ওপেন সিঙ্গলসে এবার ভারতের প্রতিনিধি শূন্য হওয়ার আশঙ্কা। চলতি মাসের শেষে শুরু হতে চলা ইউএস ওপেন টেনিসের কোয়ালিফিকেশবন পর্বের শুরুতেই বিদায় নিলেন ভারতের তিন খেলোয়াড়।
ইউএস ওপেন (US Open 2021) সিঙ্গলসে এবার ভারতের প্রতিনিধি শূন্য হওয়ার আশঙ্কা। চলতি মাসের শেষে শুরু হতে চলা ইউএস ওপেন টেনিসের কোয়ালিফিকেশবন পর্বের শুরুতেই বিদায় নিলেন ভারতের তিন খেলোয়াড়। মহিলাদের সিঙ্গলসের যোগ্যতাপর্বের প্রথম রাউন্ডেই বিদায় নিলেন অঙ্কিতা রায়না (Ankita Raina)। একই রকমভাবে পুরুষদের সিঙ্গলসের প্রথম রাউন্ডে বিদায় নিলেন সুমিত নাগাল (Sumit Nagal), রামকুমার রামানাথান (Ramkumar Ramanathan)। এখন আশা একমাত্র প্রাজনেশ গুণশ্বেরণ। প্রাজনেশ হারলেই মূলপর্ব শুরুর আগে ভারতের চ্যালেঞ্জ শেষ হল।
