অনুমোদনের থেকে অতিরিক্ত ওজন রাখার জন্য প্যারিস অলিম্পিকে ব্রোঞ্জ জয়ী ভারতের কুস্তিবীদ আমন শেরাওয়াত এর উপর এক বছরের জন্য নিষেধাজ্ঞা জারি করেছে ভারতের কুস্তি ফেডারেশন (WFI)। এই প্রথম শৃঙ্খলা ভঙ্গের জন্য ভারতের কুস্তি ফেডারেশন কোনো অলিম্পিক পদক জয়ীকে নির্বাসিত করলো। সম্প্রতি ক্রোয়েশিয়ার জাগরেবে অনুষ্ঠিত বিশ্ব কুস্তি চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপে প্রথম ম্যাচের আগেই অতিরিক্ত ওজনের কারণে অমনের অংশগ্রহণের উপর নিষেধাজ্ঞা জারি করা হয়। ৫৭ কেজি ফ্রি স্টাইল বিভাগে উত্তর ম্যাসিডোনিয়ার ভ্লাদিমির ইরোগোভ এর বিরুদ্ধে ম্যাচের আগে অমণের ওজন নির্ধারিত ওজনের থেকে ১ কেজি ৭০০ গ্রাম বেশি ছিলো.
