যৌন ধর্মঘটের মাধ্যমে বিশ্বকে পরিবেশ দূষণ ও জলবায়ু পরিবর্তনের থেকে রক্ষা করার কৌশল নিল পশুপ্রেমী সংগঠন-PETA। মাংস খাওয়া পুরুষদের সঙ্গে যৌনতায় যেতে দুনিয়ার সব মহিলাদের কাছে আবেদন জানাল PETA। পুরুষেরা মহিলাদের তুলনায় বেশি মাংস খান। যার ফলে সরাসরি পরিবেশের উপর পড়ে। এই কারণেই বিশ্বকে জলবায়ু পরিবর্তনের প্রভাব থেকে রক্ষা করতে মহিলাদের উচিত "মাংস খাওয়া পুরুষের সঙ্গে যৌনতা না করা"।
"আপনার পুরুষ সঙ্গী যদি মাংস খান, তবে তাঁর সঙ্গে সেক্স করবেন না।"এমন প্রচার মার্কিন মুলুকে ইতিমধ্যেই শুরু করে দিয়েছে পেটা। এতে যদি পুরুষদের মধ্যে মাংস খাওয়ার প্রবণতা কমে।
