রবিবার সকালে উত্তরাখণ্ডের কেদারনাথে গৌরীকুণ্ডে হেলিকপ্টার দুর্ঘটনায় পাইলট সহ ৭ জন প্রাণ হারান। কেদারনাথ থেকে গুপ্তকাশী থেকে যাওয়ার পথে রুদ্রপ্রয়াগে ভেঙে পড়ে কপ্টারটি। এই দুর্ঘটনা নিয়ে সাইপ্রাস থেকে প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী ফোন করে খোঁজ নিলেন উত্তরাখণ্ডের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী পুষ্কর সিং ধামি-র কাছ থেকে। এই দুর্ঘটনা নিয়ে শোকপ্রকাশ করেছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী মোদী। রাজ্যক সরকারকে এই বিষয়ে সব রকম সাহায্য করেব কেন্দ্র, এমন কথাও মুখ্যমন্ত্রী ধামিকে আশ্বাস করলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী। প্রধানমন্ত্রী মোদীকে ধামি জানান, দুর্ঘটনার ঠিক পরেই উচ্চপর্যায়ের বৈঠক হয়। কী কারণে এই কপ্টার দুর্ঘটনা ঘটল তা নিয়ে উচ্চপর্যায়ের তদন্ত কমিটি গঠন করা হয়েছে।
