গোটা বিশ্বের (World) পাশাপাশি ভারত (India) জুড়েও থাবা বসাচ্ছে ওমিক্রন (Omicron)। ওমিক্রনের জেরে এই প্রথম মৃত্যু হল দেশে। ৫২ বছর বয়সী এক ব্যক্তির মৃত্যু হয় পুণের পিম্পড়িতে (Pimpri Chinchwad)। গত ২৮ ডিসেম্বর নাইজেরিয়া ফেরৎ ওই ব্যক্তির মৃত্যু হয়। ওই সময় হৃদরোগে আক্রান্ত হয়ে ওই ব্যক্তির মৃত্যু হয় বলে জানা যায়। মৃত্যুর পর আজ তাঁর কোভিড রিপোর্ট প্রকাশ্যে আসে। যেখান থেকে জানা যায়, বছর ৫২-র ওই ব্যক্তি ওমিক্রনে আক্রান্ত ছিলেন। এমনই জানানো হয় মহারাষ্ট্রের স্বাস্থ্য দফতরের তরফে।
