মহিলাদের গর্ভপাতের সাংবিধানিক অধিকার কেড়ে নিল আমেরিকার সুপ্রিম কোর্ট। মার্কিন মুলুকে বাতিল হয়ে গেল পাঁচ দশকের পুরনো আইন। আর এই রায় ঘোষণার পরেই তড়িঘড়ি মহিলাদের মধ্যে ঋতুচক্র নির্ধারণকারী অ্যাপ ডিলিট করতে দেখা গেল গোটা আমেরিকা জুড়ে। সূত্র বলছে, অ্যাপের তথ্য থেকে প্রশাসন তাদের ওপর নজরদারি চালাতে পারে এই ভেবে অধিকাংশ মহিলারা কিছুটা ভয়ের থেকেই এই অ্যাপ ডিলিট করতে শুরু করেছেন ।
বিখ্যাত পডকাস্টার ডরি শাফরির (Doree Shafrir) তাঁর টুইটারে লিখেছেন - আপনি যদি টেক্সাসে থাকেন তাহলে ভুলেও গুগলে টাইপ করবেন না যে কোথায় গর্ভপাত করানো যাবে
Yes delete your period app. But also don’t arrange rides for people to get abortions on Facebook. Don’t google “where to get an abortion” if you live in Texas. Don’t go to a protest unmasked. The privacy violations that are coming go so much deeper than period apps.
