চণ্ডীগড়: প্রকৃতির প্রতি বিশেষ ভালোবাসা হরিয়ানার (Haryana) সোনিপতের বাসিন্দা দেবেন্দ্র সুরার (Devender Sura)। তাঁর কাছে প্রতিটা দিনই পরিবেশ দিবস। পেশায় পুলিশ কনস্টেবল (Police Constable) দেবেন্দ্র সুরা 'হরিয়ানার ট্রি ম্যান' (Tree Man of Haryana) নামে পরিচিত। তিনি এখনও পর্যন্ত লক্ষাধিক গাছ লাগিয়েছেন। গাছ লাগানোর জন্য তিনি নিজের পুরো বেতন খরচ করেন ৷ প্রকৃতির প্রতি এই ভালোবাসার জন্য তিনি লক্ষাধিক টাকা ধারও করেছেন ৷ দেবেন্দ্র নিজের এলাকাতে একটি নার্সারি তৈরি করেছেন৷ পরিবেশের প্রতি বিশেষ ভালোবাসার জন্য একাধিক পুরস্কার পেয়েছেন দেবেন্দ্র সুরা।
