এই বছর বর্ষায় স্বাভাবিকের থেকে ছয়গুন বেশি বৃষ্টি হবে। গড়ে বৃষ্টিপাতের পরিমাণ হবে ৮৭ সেন্টিমিটার।
গ্রীষ্মকাল পড়ার আগে থেকেই গরম যে মাত্রায় তেতেপুড়ে উঠেছিল তাতে প্রাণ ওষ্ঠাগত হওয়ার জো হয়েছিল। সবে মাত্র পড়েছে বৈশাখ। ধীরে ধীরে পারদের মাত্রা আরও চড়তে শুরু করবে। গ্রীষ্মের দাবদাহে হাঁসফাঁস শুরুর আগেই বর্ষার (Monsoon Update) পূর্বাভাষ দিল কেন্দ্রীয় আবহাওয়া দফতর (IMD)। সোমবার হাওয়া অফিসের তরফে জানানো হয়েছে, এই বছর বর্ষায় স্বাভাবিকের থেকে ছয়গুন বেশি বৃষ্টি হবে। গড়ে বৃষ্টিপাতের পরিমাণ হবে ৮৭ সেন্টিমিটার।
