বাংলাদেশে সংখ্যালঘু হিন্দুদের ওপর অত্যাচারের প্রতিবাদে দেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তেই বিক্ষোভ অব্যাহত। শবিবার সন্ধ্যায় মুম্বইয়ের ওরলি এলাকায় বিক্ষোভ সমাবেশ করেন রাজ্য বিজেপির (BJP) কর্মী সমর্থকেরা। সেখানে তাঁরা স্লোগান তোলে যে এলাকায় কোনও বাংলাদেশি পণ্য বিক্রি হলে তা বর্জন করতে হবে এবং সেই পণ্য যাতে কেউ না কেনেন তাঁর আর্জিও জানান। এক স্থানীয় বিজেপি নেতা বলেন, "যে বাংলাদেশকে আমরা স্বাধীনতা দিতে সাহায্য করেছি। সেই বাংলাদেশে এখন সংখ্যালঘু হিন্দু ভাই বোনেদের ওপর অত্যাচার করা হচ্ছে। মন্দির ভেঙে দেওয়া হচ্ছে। সন্ন্যাসীদের গ্রেফতার করা হচ্ছে এবং তাঁরা উকিলও পাচ্ছেন না। এর বিরুদ্ধে প্রতিবাদ হওয়া উচিত"।
