কেরালায় বার্ড ফ্লুর সংক্রমণ দিনে দিনে বেড়েই চলেছে। কোট্টায়মের কয়েকটি এলাকায় বার্ড ফ্লু ধরা পড়েছে। বার্ড ফ্লুর জেরে সে রাজ্যে পোল্ট্রি পণ্যের উপর নিষেধাজ্ঞা জারি কড়া হয়েছিল। তবে কোট্টায়মের ভেটেনারি প্রধান জানান, বার্ড ফ্লু নিয়ন্ত্রণে প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থা নিচ্ছেন তাঁরা। খামার এলাকা জীবাণুমুক্ত করার দিকে নজর দিয়েছেন। সংক্রমিত এলাকায় নিয়মিত ব্লিচিং পাউডার স্প্রে করেছেন। তিনি এও জানিয়েছেন, পোল্ট্রি পণ্যের উপর নিষেধাজ্ঞা আগামীকাল থেকে প্রত্যাহার করার সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে।
