পাশাপাশি স্যাম পিত্রোদা ও সুমন দুবের বিরুদ্ধেও এই মামমলায় চার্জশিট দায়ের করা হয়েছে।
ন্যাশানাল হেরাল্ড দুর্নীতি মামলায় লোকসভার বিরোধী দলনেতা রাহুল গান্ধী (Rahul Gandhi) ও কংগ্রেস নেত্রী সোনিয়া গান্ধী (Sonia Gandhi)-র বিরুদ্ধে চার্জশিট পেশ করল ইডি (ED)। বর্তমানে কংগ্রেসের সবচেয়ে হেভিওয়েট দুই নেতা-নেত্রীর এই মামলার পরবর্তী শুনানি ২৫ এপ্রিল। বিশেষ বিচারপতি বিশাল গোঙ্গে এবার চার্জশিটটি খতিয়ে দেখে পরবর্তী পদক্ষেপ নেবেন। অর্থ পাচারের অভিযোগে এই দুর্নীতি মামলার তদন্ত করছে ইডি। সোনিয়া ও রাহুল-কে জেরা করেছে এই কেন্দ্রীয় সংস্থা।
সোনিয়া, রাহুলের বিরুদ্ধে ইডি-র চার্জশিট পেশ নিয়ে ক্ষোভে ফেটে পড়েছেন কংগ্রেস নেতারা। এটিকে রাজনৈতিক প্রতিশোধের অংশ বলে ব্যাখা করেছেন কংগ্রেস নেতা জয়রাম রমেশ। আগেই ন্যাশানল হেরাল্ডের ৭০০ কোটি টাকার ওপর সম্পত্তি বাজেয়াপ্ত করা হয়েছে।
