দেশে সিএএ কার্যকর করতে কেউ আটকাতে পারবে না। শুক্রবার কৃষ্ণনগরের সভা থেকে এমনটাই দাবি করলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী (Narendra Modi)। লোকসভা নির্বাচনের প্রচারে এদিন কৃষ্ণনগরের সভা থেকে প্রধানমন্ত্রী দাবি করেন, "আমি যখন মতুয়া সম্প্রদায়ের মানুষদের সঙ্গে দেখা কর, তখন তাঁরা তাঁদের কষ্টের কথা আমাকে জানায়। এই কষ্ট কমানোর জন্যই আমাদের সরকার সিএএ আনতে চায়। কিন্তু তৃণমূল এর বিরোধীতা করছে। তবে আমরা ভেবেছিলাম বাংলার মানুষের জন্য তৃণমূল সিএএ-কে সমর্থন করবে। তবে আমরা কথা দিচ্ছি, দেশজুড়ে সিএএকে আমরাই কার্যকর করব"।
