বৃহস্পতিবার রাতে দক্ষিণ মুম্বইয়ের ভেন্ডি বাজার এলাকায় একটি চারতলা ভবনের একাংশ ভেঙে পড়েছে। পরিত্যক্ত ওই ভবনটি খালি থাকায় দুর্ঘটনায় কোন হতাহতের খবর নেই।
Mumbai Building Collapse: গভীর রাতে হুড়মুড়িয়ে ভেঙে পড়ল বিল্ডিং। বৃহস্পতিবার রাতে দক্ষিণ মুম্বইয়ের ভেন্ডি বাজার এলাকায় একটি চারতলা ভবনের একাংশ ভেঙে পড়েছে। পরিত্যক্ত ওই ভবনটি খালি থাকায় দুর্ঘটনায় কোন হতাহতের খবর নেই। স্থানীয় সূত্রে খবর, রাত সাড়ে ১২টা নাগাদ ধসে পড়ে ওই ভবনটির একাংশ। খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছেছে দমকল বাহিনী। ধ্বংসাবশেষ ছড়িয়ে পড়ে রাস্তা ঢেকে ফেলেছে। চলছে ধ্বংসাবশেষ সরিয়ে রাস্তা উদ্ধারের কাজ। প্রাথমিক তথ্য অনুযায়ী, ভবনটি জরাজীর্ণ অবস্থাতে পড়ে ছিল। কেউ বসবাস করত না সেখানে। ফলে প্রাণহানি এড়ানো সম্ভব হয়েছে। শুক্রবার সকালেও জারি ধ্বংসাবশেষ পরিষ্কারের কাজ। তবে বসতি এলাকার মধ্যে এই ভাবে ভবন ধসে পড়ার ঘটনা স্থানীয়দের মধ্যে আতঙ্কের সঞ্চার করেছে।
