গুজরাটের বিভিন্ন অংশে পড়েছে ব্যাপক গরম। এপ্রিলের শেষে এসে প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদীর রাজ্যে তীব্র দাবদাহ। সেখানে ঠিক কতটা গরম পড়েছে, তার একটা প্রমাণ মিলল সুরাটে। সেখানকার সর্বোচ্চ তাপমাত্রা এদিন ছিল ৩৬ ডিগ্রি।
তীব্র গরমে সুরাটের রাস্তায় গলতে শুরু করেছে পিচ। সুরাটের গোমতিপুরের সুদামনগর রোডে দেড় কিমি রাস্তায় গলতে শুরু করেছে বিটুমিন আর আসফালটের স্তরের রাস্তা। রাস্তা দিয়ে হাঁটলে পিচের মধ্যে পা ঢুকে যাচ্ছে, বাইকের চাকা আটকে যাচ্ছে। যেন মনে হচ্ছে সবে নতুন পিচ করা হয়েছে।
